The House of SEMPÉ founded in 1934 by Monsieur Abel SEMPÉ is dedicated since its creation to Armagnac. It is today part of the top 5 players of the Armagnac region.
Through a rigorous wines selection, that will be distilled in our copper pot still “Alambic Armagnacais”, and through a permanent search of youngs “eaux de vie” to be aged slowly, SEMPÉ managed year after year to gather in its Gascon cellars, a wide selection of Vintages Armagnacs, dated back from 1930 to nowadays. The 3 Cellar Masters who succeeded one another since the foundation knew how to elaborate the famous “Abel’s triptych”: Interesting Perfumes, a good lasting and rounded flavours. With the help of the time passing, our 3 Cellar Masters gave colours to flavours. From the pale gold with copper reflections, to deep amber, all these nuances are many notes of light that show the Sharpness and richness of our blends.
Armagnac, the French oldest fine “Eau-de-vie”, manage through the Gers area’s Senator Mr. Abel SEMPÉ, to be distributed widely in the world starting from the 60’s. “SEMPÉ IT SEMPER” is the SEMPÉ slogan and still exists in connoisseurs mind in France and worldwide.
So, tasting slowly an Armagnac SEMPÉ is like discovering that Vine, fire and wood together with Man and time could get…a simple but true pleasure. |
