Description

Origin:
Baco is a hybrid grape variety, discovered by the teacher François Baco, nurseryman in the Landes and passionate about viticulture. The genetic origin is a crossing of the Folle-Blanche and Noah grape varieties made in 1898 after the phylloxera crisis. It is also known under the names Baco 22A, Maurice-baco and Piquepoul de pays. Its physiological characteristics make it a variety naturally resistant to bad weather and diseases. It remains present only in the Armagnac appellation where it produces eaux-de-vie of great finesse. This 100% BACO 10-year-old is a Bas Armagnac made with vintages, the youngest of which has been aged for at least 10 years in barrels.

Tasting notes :
Barely back in "adolescence", this blend of several vintages of Baco attracts us with its golden amber color with brilliant reflections. The first scents reveal a remarkable aromatic richness both in its power and in the notes of intertwined spices such as pepper and vanilla. A hint of grilled almond melted in fresh flower flavors such as carnation tickles our nostrils. The appetizer completes our approach with a round and suave attack, its amplitude makes us discover touches of cloves and grilled almonds to end on a slightly pastry and cocoa finish.
